The Nine Gates

This set of nine scrolls were initially created to depict the theme How the Light Gets In: Literature of the Spirit for the 2015 Key West Literary Seminar. They depict Bob’s vision nine gates of a spiritual journey, transforming the aesthetic of the traditional Chinese scroll into digital internal landscapes.

With Bob’s singular poetic description of each gate.

the seven allusions

The art for this set of seven scrolls was initially created as an addendum to the Nine Gates Scrolls depicting the theme How the Light Gets In: Literature of the Spirit for the 2015 Key West Literary Seminar. These seven pieces continue to explore internal landscapes of a spiritual journey.

Signed limited editions of these scrolls are available. Pricing upon request.

landscape scrolls

These five scrolls were created from 5 of Bob’s iconic landscape paintings. As he has done with his other fabric scrolls, the faux silk surrounding each painting is created from taking a sample from each and cloning it to create a variety of fabric textures and colors to frame the piece. All are dye-sublimation printed on acrylic fabric.

Signed limited editions of these scrolls are available. Pricing upon request.
