If you wish to study with Bob but have been unable to participate in his bi-weekly classes or one-day intensives, or live a distance away from Laughing Waters Studio, here is a portal to a series of video lessons crafted during the days of social distancing because of COVID 19.

Simply choose a video, watch it, practice the lesson.

Then email a image of what you have created, and Bob will respond with an email critique (gently and positive). Try it again or move on to another lesson. Bob’s email is below.

The text wishes that recipient’s fortune be like that of the Eastern Ocean and one’s longevity like that of the Southern Mountains. A more expressive version of Li style script. Lesson 2: spring couplet and willow, part 2 This lesson covers practicing the four character spring couplet very small for the purpose of inscribing the painting. Continuing the spring willow landscape, adding distant shore with tiny willows, and adding the water.
